A through-line in my artistic practice is economy of resources. There’s so much stuff, stuff, stuff. Every couple years I do a no-shopping diet. I swear by it the way some people swear by those gross cleanses full of cayenne pepper, baby’s breath and the promise of colonic purity. It seems to have hit an anti-consumerist chord, having been written about in The Hairpin, The Daily Mail, Maclean’s, El Pais, W Radio, Bust Magazine, Glamour Brazil, Metafilter and countless amazing blogs.
